Re: cheque alternatives

With PayPal there is always the option to send it as a "gift" then the sender rather then the receiver has to pay the fee.

Re: Real 4th height numbers

This only one show, one entry showing 4th height entry. I don't think it is representative for all over the UK. There are other shows with other figures.

Re: 4th height again!

You logic escapes me, but then it is early in the day. So basically you are happy the way it is and don't want change, because your dog is just fine in his height band? What if those people all those years back hadn't brought in medium? Still happy with the Status quo then? No, I don't know you an...

Re: 4th height again!

Hmmmm! Beginning to be sorry I started this as my main point was that there enough threads already. Don't want to be contentious Hannah but don't like your idea of altering the medium height to allow 'just into large' dogs to compete in medium. Unless of course, at the same time, it is altered s...

Re: UK Handling / German Handling

Having looked at "German handling" and having talked to German competitors, I find there is far too much wrong arming, too many unnecessary turns and you have to be able to run really fast to be successful. I had German handlers agree with me about the overload of turns handlers try to s...

Re: Chappie original

Incidentally, I wonder if anyone else has any experience of Arden Grange (kibble). My male dog is fine on it but the little 'un seems to be hungry on it all the time and has resorted to swimming across the lake to steal bread from the ducks! It was suggested to me the other day that her food mig...

Re: Collars

A friend of mine put the collar through an extra strong ring so it stays on the collar and doesn't break. Does that make sense?

Re: Has your dog had a neutering injection or implant . .

I had 2 dogs implanted. One, who become a bit funny with other males and it clearly mellowed him down. The other one because he was far too interested in bitches. Well, he is still interested in bitches, it is not that bad anymore, but he got noise sensitive at the same time as the implant worked, ...

Re: Internet Providers

Have to agree with Nikki re TalkTalk - was with Tiscali before TalkTalk took them over - had nothing but problems since. Email always going wrong - lucky if we can access them 3 or 4 times a week and sometimes they will be down all week! Can never get hold of anyone - especially anyone in the UK...

Re: Dog Charities

I was thinking search and rescue. They give their spare time to help finding missing people, they train their dog and cover all costs. I am sure they'd be grateful for some funds and I am sure you have a group locally :)

Re: Exercises to help a pole knocker

My daughter's first dog was a pole knocker. We put it down to his excitement in the ring, until we had him examined by a Galen therapist and she found out that one of his muscles in his back side were very much under developed. It explained his problem. Not sure this helps you though :)
