The next workshops will be on: Tuesday 24th June 2008
The main area of focus will be course walking and memorising skills, with one course being looked at (and run) in each half of the evening. We will look at analysing the dog's path, deciding on the most appropriate handler's path, techniques for remembering courses and preparing to run.
The cost of the evening, for over 2 hours' training, is £15 for non-members and includes light refreshments.
Please contact us if you are interested!
"you made sure that our members
had a really enjoyable time"
"thanks to you and your team for a really fun day"
As a club, our main activities other than training are running our own shows, and competing at other clubs' shows.
We are occasionally available to give a dog agility demonstration at your event in the west Midlands area, and we recommend you contact us well in advance.
In the past we have run agility shows as part of other events (e.g. craft fairs, general pet shows), and agility displays at various organisations' open days.
We like to make our displays proper fun events. Members of the public can sometimes have a go with their dogs. The photo on the right shows the Chairman of the Schnauzer Club, back in 2004, being a good sport and getting ready to have a go at agility with one of our dogs.
Our most recent display saw us back at the Schnauzer Club of Great Britain's open day at Shenstone (near Lichfield) in May 2008. Get in touch if you'd like us to come to your event!
During 2006, we ran the Agility Addicts Trios as a series of heats leading to a Final hosted by Wyre in June 2007. Congratulations to the winners, Staffs Agility.
We will be sponsoring the Agility Addicts Trios again in the future. For further information, please contact us.
